The final day of Paris’s spring summer haute couture fashion week saw Amy Winehouse and Valentino show off the dazzling couture work of seamstresses who toiled for thousands of hours to create a lavish white collection. Designer Elie Saab presented a fairy tale blockbuster, drawing in Hollywood stars sizing up dresses for Oscar season. The show also highlighted the importance of the Middle East and actresses mixed alongside Arab and Chinese buyers at his show. Models show luminous shantung silk gowns blossomed on the runway of the Lebanese designer’s collection. The fashion show was made up almost exclusively of delicate ball gowns with pastels.

Other collections were heavy on greens. Sea and pale green full length gowns danced regally with flower paillettes. One sweeping sea green robe in embroidered with sequins featured plunging dramatic double skirts. Designer’s lavish show was a natural choice for stars eyeing up potentials as Berenice Bejo, basking in the attention gained by her nomination for best supporting actress. The designer still his eye on the trends as one beautiful full circle dress in pink tulle and black lace ensured the show kept pace with the in vogue 1950s shapes that have filled the catwalk this season.

Tulisa Contostavlos lead the charge of over the top glamour at the National Television Awards in London. The star stole the spotlight on the red carpet in a hot pink feathered number. She was sporting a deep tan, possibly leftover from her recent holiday in the Maldives, set off by her shiny silver heels. The 23 year old singer ensured plenty of cleavage was on show in her corseted dress, which featured a lace up back. The red carpet was Lorraine Kelly, who flew the flag for Scotland in a full skirted tartan dress and she posed outside the arena. Elle Macpherson, who earlier this month was dazzling at the Golden Globes, looked sleek in a figure hugging charcoal number.

Vintage was also a hot trend for the night, Fearne Cotton in particular pulling a Twenties style fringed number off with aplomb. Blush pink was a popular theme on the red carpet with Amy Childs, Sam Faiers, Michelle Collins all sporting the shade in addition to Carol. Some celebrities chose to not go with the formal dress code, with presenters Caroline Flack and Laura Whitmore both wearing short dresses. Amy Childs, Sam Faiers and Lucy Mecklenburgh chose to wear nude colour dresses of all different styles. Designer Vivienne Westwood presented her quirky collection on January 2012 for Fall Winter 2012-13 at the Milan Men’s Fashion Week. Vivienne’s collection was a rather far out take on the situation at hand. She chose to celebrate. Mixing her signature brand of quirky but rather conservative instruments, the collection was her opinion to the aftermath. The clothes were not couture for wear ability was delivered in tailored suits and subdued colors for sharp wear, but there was no lack of fun. Individual personality cut in like spades as it boiled down to clothes.

Designer played with patterns and layering, creating a world where the gentleman in the fur coat can exist with the over layer of multiple patterns. Giorgio Armani’s Fall Winter men’s collection showcased at the Milan Fashion week 2012. The collection was a new line that combined bold design with impeccable construction, inevitably expected by the King George. Giorgio Armani’s tailored classics are widely celebrated. The collection surprised as the traditions of the past flowed smoothly into a more dynamic present. Designer Armani embraced stretch fabrics and loose fits for the fall, while velvet pants ballooned in shape, only to fall into a tapered finish. The double breasted jacket was at once laid back.

Designers presented their collection at LG Fashion week in Toronto for the 2012 season. The design team is comprised of a Brother and Sister duo that has been around the globe and uses their experiences with their collection. Design Alia Juma created the prints for the collection. They looked stunning on the runway and Alia was a piece from her own collection that looked strong and yet exceptionally feminine on her. The line has gained international recognition and now carried in locations all over the world. Designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli came into their own this season as they made pieces that one would expect from none other than the legendary man himself.

The collection was full of lace but the opulence of the house shone through in leathers that were ruche at the waist and cut in long high gloss dresses. The fashion show looks became covered with intricate floral lace that gave a very 1930′s glamour look. Delicate was the cord that would be used to describe most of the collection. It is arguably a collection that will be perceived as an older woman’s line. It is noticed that many lines have moved toward a please the masses routine so it is nice to see Valentino sticking to its roots.

Colour blocking featured heavily, contrasted with black and camouflage. There are many accessories were especially for men as fur collars, hats, man bags and biker boots. Pieces also bore resemblance to the Versace for H&M collection that was unveiled last year. Donatella described the collection like glamour herself wore a black leather dress with gold studs. The collection had a distinctive 90′s feel and the decade currently making a comeback on the runway. Celebrity Rooney Mara attended the AFI awards 2012, which was held in Beverly Hills. She was arrived in a Lanvin Pre Fall 2012 look. This is a relatively flirty look. Her black sleeveless top in satin duchesse was teamed with a black neoprene skirt and black matte waxed leather belt. The outfit was minimally accessorized, per usual with a simple pair of black Brian Atwood ‘Debra Due’ peep toes. Shailene Woodley attended the 2012 AFI Awards in Beverly Hills. The actress opted for a girlier look on this occasion wearing a cream Honor Spring 2012 lace dress.

The 19 year old singer wore a long ivory camisole dress on a matching black byzantine embroidered jacket by Yoana Baraschi. She looked good. Her style is better in the past few months. I am looking forward to watching how it grows in 2012. Demi attended Seventeen’s Power of Friendship luncheon in her honor last Friday. She arrived in bright yellow Finders Keepers top with an equally striking cobalt blue Ponte. It’s caught in the shorter lining underneath which makes it appear awkward.

Demi finished her look with super high platform blue suede bow sandals. Demi Lovato appeared at MTV’s New Year’s Eve Party and her ultra best in this sexy French lace LBD dress. She was the epitome of confidence in this look that fit her so well. I love the long sleeves and long length. Demi kept this look intact and in turn. This would have been even better if it had gone a little bit longer over the knee. Actress Paula Patton slipped into a black silk mini dress with gold safety pins. I noticed that the dress had been shortened a bit. Despite the awkward posing and it’s not so bad.
